This series was one of my finals for my freshman year, fall semester, Seminar II, class.
There are two "meanings" to it. One is broader and the other is rather personal and specific. Seeing it in a broad way, this series is about the way humans deal with problems life throws at them. The tool and the type of damage done to the piece symbolizes the type of reaction. (i.e. Brute force, forceful forgetting, working it out, etc.)
Seeing it narrower, it is about transsexualisms and the ways individuals deal with this internal battle that brings up so many feelings of uncertainty and guilt.
